Mariam is a public health physician and a Fellow of the New Zealand College of Public Health Medicine. She has experience across the breadth of population health, including in health promotion, health protection, workforce development, and health sector development. She has a focus on clinical and quality governance and seeks to achieve health equity for all New Zealanders. She values the diversity of Asian New Zealanders and is keen to support thriving Asian communities across the breadth of Aotearoa New Zealand.
