Originally from China Sherry has lived in NZ since 2001. With an honours degree in psychology and a masters degree (first class honours) in counselling (University of Auckland), Sherry uses both counselling and psychology approaches, and a wide range of modalities and skills to best suit the individual. Clients describe her as “empathetic, non-judgemental, patient, sensitive, caring, insightful and knowledgeable”. Clients especially appreciate the tools and strategies Sherry coaches. Clients feedback has been consistently positive, with 75-80% rating the experience 5 out of 5 (very helpful).
Sherry is a mother of two. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Sherry has worked with clients from young children to senior adults, of varying sexual orientation, social background and ethnicities. She has practiced counselling since 2009, working for community agencies, secondary and tertiary schools. Sherry is also contracted with EAP and WDHB. She is especially interested and competent in anxiety, depression, and relationship work.
