Bo Ning is a marketing PhD graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 2017; Before coming to New Zealand, he had teaching and researching experiences at a top-40 Chinese university.
From 2017 onward, he served as the Wellington marketing manager, responsible for formulating and implementing marketing plans, as well as expanding the Wellington regional Markets for SkiKiwi, the largest Chinese-language media platform in New Zealand.
He stepped in AFS as a part-time health promoter and researcher for the Wellington branch of Asian Family Services in early 2018. He has successfully led and organized health workshops for different Asian groups (e.g., the elderly, the family and children, the international students) in Wellington. He also led and conducted a quantitative research regarding Asian Wellingtonian’s psychological wellbeing in 2018 and presented the research findings at NZ Population Conference in 2019. In his new role, Bo will fulfil more of his research capability into Asian research, research funding application, as well as research project coordination for AFS.
