Bo Ning, a marketing PhD graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 2017. His research focus is on multinational firms’ market entry selection under the influences of institutional distance, as well as psychometric measures of consumers in cross-cultural settings. He has won full Victoria Doctoral Scholarship and Dissertation Submission Scholarship, as well as a Best Paper Award in an international conference. His research outcomes have been published in two top journals such as the Journal of International Marketing so far.
Before coming to New Zealand, he had been a lecturer majoring in marketing at a top-40 Chinese university.
He switched to the industry in 2017 to serve as the marketing manager of SkyKiwi’s Wellington Office. He took the part-time role as a promoter and researcher for Asian Family Services’s Wellington Branch in early 2018.
